Rooza by Nadiya Hussain

Rooza by Nadiya Hussian is described as a journey through Islamic cusine inspired by Ramadhan and Eid.

The former Great British Baker winner and author of several cookbooks prior to this release is known for her unique take on fusing traditional Bangladeshi cooking and every day quick hacks for family friendly meals.

Rooza is the Bangladeshi word for Ramadhan, the holy month in the Islamic calendar where fasting is observed. It seems such a natural move for Nadyia to release this book in time for the start of Ramadhan.

I love that she always pays homiage and shares snippets of her childhood from a Bangladeshi household, painting a picture of her experiences and how it has shaped her cooking style.

The book cover oozes rich, vibrant colours of the culture and Nadiya’s personal style. The little nod towards Islamic patterns within the design effortlessly gives a sense of what the contents of the book are about.

I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled to see if retailers and supermarkets have used this release as an opportunity to promote the book and connect with it’s audience.

Book Release: 23 January 2025
